ESSENCE PHOTOGRAPHY:
Gale is also sharing her unique photographic eye through her photography. Her quality and creative edge is of essence viewing. Gale does not use any computer-enhancing effects to create the look of the photographs. No special lenses, no manipulations of any kind. Gale chose to take the energies of her once feral cat, Bootsie, and initiate the awareness of the healing power of animals, through the Chinese New Year celebration of the Year of the Rabbit (Cat), of 2011. Gale’s ability to capture the essence via the camera is reflected in the works of this 21-year old feline (as of spring, 2012). Since Bootsie was a stray, and is a legendary queen of Ephraim, Wisconsin, along with her love, the Big Daddy Boy. Bootsie deserves a place of honor in the form of art that reminds people of the importance of caring for animals in need, and the TNR efforts way to help the “one-cat-at-a-time approach”. Photos and Giclée prints are available for order/purchase.

ABOUT BOOTSIE:
She is 20 years old (2011) in the photographs. Lived in downtown Ephraim for 12 of those years. Gale met her within 2-months of moving to Door County. Bootsie was 7-years old according to people that knew her, but no one really owned her. Gale took over the feeding and daily feedings for the next 5-years. When Bootsie turned 12, and the love of her life passed over (the Big Daddy Boy, another legendary cat), Gale took her in to be an indoor cat for good. Gale made sure it was Bootsie’s decision to become a full time indoor cat. After all those years of living under buildings during the coldest of winters, and having litters for 8 of those years, making the second half of her life the pampered, spoiled one every cat deserves, is a joy for the pet psychic. Bootsie’s age began to show and a health issue began to slow her down. (at more than 100 years old) she carried on well. Bootsie passed over to the Loving Light on May 2, 2012. We await her return after her time to rest and enjoy the peace with her feline friends. .
THIS PORTRAIT COLLECTION CELEBRATES THE GREAT LOVE FOR ANIMALS:
Gale has always had a dog in her life in one way or another, and grew up with a famous trick poodle. Her family owned horses and the trips to the ranch were special ones for Gale. So many animals and open area to ride and play with the dogs and cats that lived with the ranch manager and his wife. But, the first celebration year is for the special love of the feline friends that sleep on our heads and barf up fur balls on our favorite linens. It may sound obsessive with the Toots-n-Boots (and her many aliases captured on film), but cat lovers know the longer we live with them, the more we learn from them as they rise to the top of our hearts… In Ephrain Bootsie is legendary.
